It’s built in the recovery, in the quality of rest that allows the body to repair, restore and rise again.

Yin Yoga & Sauna for High Performing Athletes is a Sunday evening lakeside recovery experience designed for runners, cyclists, swimmers, gym-goers, GAA players, triathletes, hikers, adventure racers and anyone who demands more from their body and wants to support it with intelligence.

You’ll be guided through a slow, targeted Yin Yoga class focused on the areas athletes often overuse: hips, hamstrings, calves, glutes, quads, lower back, shoulders and spine.

Then you’ll move into the heat of the sauna, allowing the body to soften, sweat, release and fully arrive into recovery mode.

Think less “stretch class”. More deep reset for the body that carries your ambition.

What's Included:

 

45-minute Yin Yoga for Athletes 

A slow, floor-based yoga practice using long-held postures to support mobility, flexibility, joint health and deep muscular release.

Lakeside Sauna Experience

Time to sweat, soften and reset in the heat, with optional cool-down moments by the lake.

Breathwork for Recovery

Simple breath techniques to calm the nervous system and help the body shift out of stress mode

Athlete-Focused Recovery

Guidance Gentle cues throughout the session to help you understand where your body is holding tension and how to support it better.

A Calm Sunday Evening

Atmosphere No pressure. No performance. No need to be flexible. Just space to recover well.

Why Yin Yoga?

 

Most athletes spend a lot of time in doing mode: pushing, striving, lifting, running, competing, improving.

Yin Yoga brings the body into receiving mode.

Postures are held for longer periods with support, allowing the body to gradually soften rather than force. This can help create space through the hips, legs, back and shoulders while giving the nervous system permission to settle.

For athletes, this is powerful because tightness is not always just muscular.

Sometimes the body is bracing. Sometimes the mind is still racing. Sometimes the system needs safety before it can soften.

Yin gives the body that signal.

Why Sauna?

 

The sauna adds another layer of release.

Heat can support relaxation, circulation and that deep “exhale” feeling many athletes crave after a long week of training, working and holding everything together.

Together, Yin Yoga and sauna create a simple but powerful rhythm:

Breathe. Stretch. Sweat. Reset. Repeat.

 

Every Second Sunday evening at 6pm

This time is designed to help you transition out of the working week and into a more grounded, recovered state before the weekend.

For athletes competing early the next morning, we recommend listening to your own body and hydration needs. This session is best suited for recovery, mobility and nervous system reset rather than intense pre-race preparation
